Which F1 Team Will Pay the Most? The 2026 Entry Fees

The 2025 F1 season has wrapped up, and while every team is already focused on the major regulation shift coming in 2027, there’s still one unavoidable step before the new era begins. Signing up for the 2026 championship and paying FIA entry fees. And as always, that fee isn’t exactly a flat rate, far from it.

The FIA calculates the entry cost using a fixed base fee for every team plus a variable amount tied directly to the points scored in the constructors’ championship. In short: the more points you score, the more you pay. With the final standings now official, it’s pretty easy to guess who will be writing the fattest check this year.

Costs that add to this season’s extra expenses as well, such as the ranking we created for the drivers who caused the most damage and incidents during the races. Here is the full list

The entry fees for each team for the 2026 F1 season

At the top of the 2025 standings sits a dominant McLaren, crushing the season with 833 points and sweeping both the drivers’ and constructors’ titles. That mountain of points naturally translates into a monster entry fee: $7,732,579. When you rack up results like that, the FIA doesn’t exactly give you a discount—quite the opposite.

Behind them, Mercedes finished second with 469 points, which earns them an entry fee of $4,000,478. Red Bull follows closely with 451 points and a total of $3,873,935, while Ferrari’s 398 points put their 2026 bill at $3,501,336.

The gap widens from there. Williams secured fifth place with 137 points, resulting in a fee of $1,666,463. Racing Bulls and Aston Martin, with 92 and 89 points respectively, land in a similar range at $1,350,105 and $1,329,015. Haas, eighth with 79 points, will pay $1,258,713.

Audi (Sauber) finished ninth with 70 points, corresponding to $1,195,442, while Alpine’s modest 22 points reduce their fee to $857,994. At the bottom of the list sits Cadillac, carrying the lightest financial load with an entry fee of $703,330.

In the end, the rule is simple: score big, pay big. And after the season McLaren just delivered, it’s no surprise they’re the team handing over the biggest cheque for 2026—champions on track and champions at the cashier.
