Pierre Gasly signs Alpine long-term contract
If it’s true that some places can gift us unforgettable emotions, for Pierre Gasly, one of those places is undoubtedly Monza. At Sportchaos.live, we had just analyzed yesterday the strong bond between the French driver and the historic track in Brianza Gasly Monza 2020. Back in 2020, Pierre claimed his very first Formula 1 victory right here with AlphaTauri. The small Faenza-based team formerly known as Toro Rosso — after a thrilling race perfectly managed from start to finish. And during this 2025 weekend, another piece of good news has arrived for Pierre, which makes us just as happy: we’ll be seeing him in Formula 1 for a while longer.
Pierre Gasly renews with Alpine until 2028

Just a few hours ago, it was announced that Alpine F1 and Pierre Gasly have renewed their partnership in the top tier of motorsport for another three years, through to 2028. This decision clearly reflects the intentions of Flavio Briatore. He sees the fast Frenchman as a key figure in building a strong and competitive team. While results in this 2025 season have yet to take off, with Alpine currently sitting at the bottom of the Constructors’ Championship, it’s worth noting that Gasly has scored 100% of the team’s points so far, with teammates Jack Doohan and Franco Colapinto (rotating between races) still yet to score.
It’s clear that the French manufacturer, owned by Renault, took this into serious consideration when deciding to entrust the team’s lead role for the next three years to a driver who consistently proves his worth on track.

Team Principal Flavio Briatore praised Gasly for his dedication and talent, calling him a key asset for Alpine. With new engine regulations coming in 2026 and the switch to Mercedes power units, Alpine aims to climb back up the standings — relying on Gasly’s experience and leadership to steer the team into this new era.
