New Porsche 992.2 Manthey Racing: Photogallery and details
Porsche unveils yet another evolution of an already perfect weapon: the GT3 992.2. This time, updates come through the Manthey Racing aereo kit package. Inspired by the successes the Stuttgart-born car achieves in endurance races with the German team and its iconic Grello.
No engine modifications: the changes are purely aesthetic and aerodynamic, designed to improve track handling and increase overall downforce. The end result? A car that impresses first with its looks and then with its driving, ready for circuits around the world.
Moreover, next year Manthey will leverage its 2025 successes in Europe to field two 911 GT3 cars in the American IMSA championship. A huge step forward to expand its horizons after the DTM 2025 victories. Here is the full story—- Porsche Manthey to join IMSA in 2026

Porsche Manthey, Aereo wheels and rear diffusor at first look
The first detail that catches the eye is the aerodynamic wheels, which make a strong visual impact. They might not appeal to everyone, but they recall the famous white OZ wheels popular on Fiat and Lancia cars in the ’80s. Functional as well as beautiful, the wheels optimize airflow to the brakes, calipers, and discs, ensuring targeted and more efficient cooling.
The lightweight set included in the package features 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels. This sheds 13.2 pounds compared to the original set. But the modifications don’t stop there: the new rear wing immediately stands out, wider to increase downforce, with vertical end plates that create aerodynamic channels to guide airflow.

Carbon-ceramic brakes, front and rear, further refine the handling, preparing the car for jaw-dropping performance:
- 782 lbs of downforce on the street / 1,190 lbs on the track
- 2.76 seconds faster around the Nürburgring than the 992.1
- Carbon-fiber aero discs
A new Nurburgring record and also a record price for this Kit
Compared to the pre-facelift 911 GT3 equipped with the Manthey aereo kit, the updated 992.2 version cuts 2.76 seconds off its Nürburgring lap time. Behind the wheel, current DTM champion Ayhancan Güven piloted the car, fitted with the stickiest optional tires, to a 6:52.9 lap.

But how much does this extreme upgrade cost? Porsche hasn’t officially announced the price of the new Manthey Racing package yet, but past versions give us a clue: the old 911 GT3 package cost around $116,000 and was available only in the United States.
It’s likely that this time as well, the upgrade will arrive first in the U.S. next spring for thousands of fans, with a price slightly higher than its predecessor.
