New Lamborghini Temerario Super Trofeo

Lamborghini has unveiled the successor to the Huracán Super Trofeo, the car that has dominated the brand’s one-make championships in recent years. This is the Temerario, the model that will replace the Huracán across all its variants from 2026. It will mark the farewell to the iconic naturally aspirated V10.

The Sant’Agata Bolognese manufacturer chose the Lamborghini World Finals at Misano. They were held from November 5 to 9, the stage to introduce its latest racing creation.

The car will make its competitive debut in the Asian, European, and North American championships starting from 2027.

The new Super Trofeo is slightly less advanced in terms of aerodynamics and technical sophistication than the GT3 model. It features a more powerful engine and lacks the electric component that will support the V8 in the road version

Derived from the 800 CV power unit (including 120 hp from the hybrid system) of the Temerario Stradale, the Super Trofeo is powered by a 650 CV twin-turbo V8. Entirely non-hybrid, with rear-wheel drive and a six-speed sequential transmission using the same Hewland gearbox as the GT3.

With many components shared with the GT3 model (here is the complete article about the New GT3) the new Super Trofeo serves as the ideal training ground. In particular for gentleman drivers and young professionals looking to progress toward GT3 competition.

The model unveiled marks the sixth generation since Lamborghini launched its customer racing program in 2009. The first car used was the Gallardo, later replaced by the more powerful Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo, which remained in use until 2015.

It was then succeeded by the Huracán, which evolved through several Evo versions. The last versione reached a total output of 620 hp. The 2025 season will therefore be the last in which the Huracán will showcase the unmistakable notes of its V10 engine.

Over the years, the Lamborghini Super Trofeo has welcomed 1,383 drivers. They came across European, North American, Asian, and Middle East championships and has staged 563 races worldwide.
