McLaren 750s JC96, the new Japan tribute
Limited to just 61 units for Japan, the McLaren 750S JC96 celebrates the brand’s 1996 GT500 victory with a hand-painted livery, Alcantara interior, gold accents
Widely considered the leading British manufacturer in the world of motorsport, this brand has unveiled a unique design for the award-winning 750S. Even in its standard version, the 750S already stands as a benchmark in the automotive world. Its powerful twin-turbo V8 engine delivers 750 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. Everything you could ask for to enjoy uncompromised driving excitement. But let’s take a closer look at what the British marque has added to this special edition, created to pay tribute to something truly iconic.
The McLaren F1 GTR in the 1996 All-Japan Grand Touring Championship.

This newly unveiled model has a very specific purpose: it celebrates McLaren’s overall victory in the Japanese Touring Championship. An incredible achievement, made possible by the legendary McLaren F1 GTR, which had already won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1995. The following year, not satisfied with their European triumphs, the British team set their sights eastward towards the Land of the Rising Sun. And it’s important to remember they succeeded. To this day, McLaren remains the only European team to have ever dominated the Japanese GT500 Championship, the eastern counterpart to our GT3 series. That record still stands, as no other non-Japanese manufacturer has managed to repeat the feat.

McLaren 750S JC96, only for the Japanese market
The McLaren 750S JC96, for the reasons mentioned above, will be available exclusively in Japan. Only 61 units will be produced, each decorated with a livery that pays tribute to McLaren’s racing heritage. The limited edition features hand-painted details inspired by the iconic tiger-stripe design that adorned the 1996 JGTC cars.
Likewise, the interior has been specially crafted by McLaren’s design team to capture the spirit of the F1 GTR. The cabin is fully trimmed in Alcantara, with gold-finished switches and pedals. In true McLaren fashion—where no detail is ever left to chance—many of the design elements are carefully hand-painted.

Making its debut on the 750S JC96 is the ultra-lightweight “Delta” forged alloy wheel with a 15-spoke design. This car is born from circuit dominance, now translated into a modern expression of road and track presence and performance.

The 750S JC96 marks the second application of the MSO High Downforce Kit (HDK), available in both Coupé and Spider versions.
The kit includes a redesigned front bumper and splitter, a slotted underwing panel, and a raised active rear spoiler. Together, these components enhance aerodynamic performance, delivering a 10% increase in downforce. The result is improved stability and higher cornering speeds.
