Max Verstappen: All the Incredible Records Broken in F1

Max Verstappen is, for many people, one of the strongest drivers Red Bull and motorsport has seen in the last twenty years. This generation of drivers produced someone fast, complete, aggressive, and able to finalize every opportunity. His four F1 world championships came together with an avalanche of records, shattering many of the statistics that existed before his arrival in Formula 1 at the 2015 Australian Grand Prix.

In these ten years of career, the incredibly fast Dutch driver has written countless pages of history. Not only in F1 but also in smaller GT championships, bringing attention back to categories that many tend to overlook. As we know, Max would probably participate in the 2026 Nürburgring 24 Hours, having received the green light from the top management of his team.

His personality has two sides: tough and relentless on track, warm and good-natured once he takes off the helmet. This attitude pushes him to value motorsport in every form, driving everywhere and in any condition simply for the love of it. A trait that makes him an even rarer talent. And, surprisingly, a very genuine person in everyday life.

New records across different F1 eras

With that in mind, we decided to analyze his entire F1 career. We digged into all his records he has broken during his time in the championship. Max Verstappen is a name that appears in the F1 history books almost like the page numbers: wherever you look, he shows up. And the numbers that follow explain exactly why.

Before getting into the data, one thing must be said: even though Verstappen is an incredible talent, some things in the sport have changed. The number of races per season is much higher compared to the ’90s and 2000s. The points awarded to race winners are very different from the past. Today the winner gets 25 points instead of the 10 points of twenty years ago. Same for the number of races: with 23–24 events per season, it’s naturally easier to collect wins. But with that out of the way… let’s move to the data.
