Magarigawa Track, something to drive in a lifetime in Japan
The circuit winds through the mountains overlooking Mount Fuji, offering hundreds of wealthy enthusiasts a stunning proving ground for their supercars.
People choose to spend their money in all sorts of ways. Some invest in real estate, others in luxury watches, financial markets, or cryptocurrencies. And then there are those—living among us—who go a step further and build playgrounds for wealthy car enthusiasts. We’re talking about the Magarigawa Track Club, a private racetrack built in the Japanese mountains.

The annual fee to become a privileged member of this exclusive club is around €230,000. This hefty sum grants access to a highly technical track designed by Hermann Tilke, the renowned architect behind several Formula 1 circuits, including Marina Bay and Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi.

Magarigawa Track Layout
The Magarigawa track features 22 corners, an 800-meter straight, and numerous uphill (20% of the layout) and downhill (16%) sections, with a total elevation change of 250 meters. It’s a true challenge—not only for private members navigating its twists, but also for automakers who now use it as a testing ground thanks to its technical complexity.

The estimated construction cost? Around 200 million euros—a figure the owner will likely recoup over time through the exclusivity and prestige the club offers.
Nestled within a mountain in Chiba Prefecture, the Magarigawa track offers a breathtaking view of Mount Fuji and Tokyo Bay. Beyond the spectacular layout (shown in the image above), drivers can relax between sessions while enjoying scenery designed to impress every time.
But Magarigawa isn’t just about the track. The facility offers a full suite of luxury amenities, including restaurants, spas, swimming pools, gyms, a karaoke room, dog parks, nature trails, a helipad, and a covered garage with mechanical assistance—all tailored to the lifestyle of elite motorsport enthusiasts.

The Magarigawa Track Club has been described as the world’s first true “luxury driving club,” offering a unique experience that blends a passion for high-performance cars with the comfort and exclusivity of a high-end resort.
It is managed by Cornes & Company Ltd., a Japanese firm specializing in luxury goods, which oversees daily operations and member management.
