Kunos Simulazioni unveils a new Rally Assetto Corsa chapter
Assetto Corsa Rally: the new frontier of sim racing game by Kunos Simulazioni
The Italian company Kunos Simulazioni shows no signs of stopping, continuing to develop new chapters in one of the most beloved franchises in the racing world. Assetto Corsa remains one of the most acclaimed sim racing titles among motorsport enthusiasts, both on PC and PlayStation 5.
Earlier this morning, the studio, founded as a startup around ten years ago with the first Assetto Corsa, announced an exciting new project: Assetto Corsa Rally.
This new installment will focus on a part of motorsport that the series has never tackled before. After years spent on GT and road cars, the action now shifts to special stages on gravel and asphalt. Inspired by the WRC championship and enriched with a few original tracks created specifically for the game.
A new beginning: new adventure for Assetto Corsa
The first phase of this latest Assetto Corsa will launch in Early Access, allowing players to experience a work-in-progress version. The release on Steam is set for November 13, with the goal of collecting player feedback to help refine the experience before the full release.
Built upon the acclaimed Assetto Corsa physics engine, further optimized for the demands of rally racing, the game runs on a customized version of Unreal Engine 5.
From the gravel stages of Wales to the tarmac roads of Alsace, the game features laser-scanned tracks, meticulously modeled vehicles, full co-driver functionality, and realistic driving dynamics for front-, rear-, and all-wheel-drive cars.
Every second on the stage is a high-tension challenge. Grip, weather, and time of day will constantly influence every decision behind the wheel.

Assetto Corsa Rally represents a focused evolution, a title designed for those who live and breathe rallying, not just for those who play. It’s the meeting point between skill and speed, where every moment behind the wheel becomes a fight to the millimeter.
A simulation where control, courage, and precision define success.
With Assetto Corsa Rally, Supernova and Kunos Simulazioni deliver the most authentic rally experience ever created, opening a new chapter in the history of Assetto Corsa.
From the birth of a legend to this Rally revolution
It all began in 2014 with the release of the first Assetto Corsa, developed by Kunos Simulazioni as an independent project that redefined the concept of driving simulation with its realistic physics engine and unprecedented visual fidelity for its time.
The success of that title led to Assetto Corsa Competizione in 2020, the official GT World Challenge game, which introduced a new level of detail, dynamic weather, and the Unreal Engine for the first time.
Both games became cornerstones of sim racing, paving the way for today’s Assetto Corsa — a bold expansion of the franchise into the world of rally racing, bringing the same philosophy of realism, precision, and passion from the track to the toughest stages of the sport.
