The F2 Sprint Race saw an extremely determined Leonardo Fornaroli right from the start. After starting third, he quickly moved up to P2 behind Beganovich, until the race was neutralized by a Safety Car due to Maini’s off at the Curvone. At the restart, a fierce battle saw Fornaroli takes the lead and hold it until the chequered flag, claiming his first-ever victory at Monza.

It was a true show of strength from the Italian driver, who now extends his lead in the championship, maintaining a solid position ahead of J. Crawford. Rounding out the podium were Lindblad in P2 and Durksen in P3.

Dino Beganovich, who spent most of the race running in the podium positions, was handed a 5-second time penalty after the F2 Sprint race for an infraction committed under the Virtual Safety Car. As a result, he dropped down to P6 in the final classification.
