With a new championship leader, Lando Norris (357 points), who overtook Oscar Piastri by just one point in the last race in Mexico, the 2025 F1 Brazilian GP is fast approaching. Scheduled for the weekend of November 9 in São Paulo.

It’s one of the most historic tracks on the Formula 1 calendar, where the Brazilian fans’ passion always creates an electric atmosphere. Packed grandstands, endless enthusiasm, and excitement even in extreme weather conditions.

Over the years, countless editions of this Grand Prix have been shaped by the rain, turning the track into a spectacle of chaos. Streams of water running across the circuit are a common sight, often forcing race control to delay or suspend sessions due to unfit conditions.

F1 Sprint race weekend for the championship

The 21st round of the championship will also feature the second-to-last Sprint Race of the season, with the three title contenders still battling for crucial points in the Drivers’ standings.

Interestingly, McLaren’s last world championship title was clinched right here. It happened when Lewis Hamilton dramatically won the 2008 title over Felipe Massa, in one of Formula 1’s most iconic finishes.
In recent years, the Ex Ferrari Brazilian driver has tried to appeal to the FIA tribunal regarding the infamous Singapore Crashgate scandal, claiming it compromised the fairness of that 2008 season.

Hamilton’s unexpected ally that day? The rain. Torrential showers hit the track in the final laps, allowing the Briton to fight back to fifth place, overtaking Timo Glock on the very last straight. The German, on slick tyres, could do nothing on a drenched circuit.

Verstappen has won 3 times here, starting from P17

For this year’s Brazilian Gp, Red Bull is determined not to give McLaren any chance to close the gap in the title race, confident they can still take the fight to the very end.

Starting from this 2025 weekend, the Austrian team will also debut a new sponsor on their car: McDonald’s. The fast-food giant has already launched several promotional activities across Brazil to celebrate this partnership, which we covered in a previous article.

Max Verstappen will also race with a special helmet design honoring the host country, at a track where he has already claimed three career victories.
Fans still remember his incredible 2024 performance, when he stormed from P17 to victory in a downpour that turned the race into a true masterpiece of skill and control.
