F1 Belgium, Qualifying and Sprint race results

Max Verstappen took an incredible victory today in the Belgian sprint race. Finishing ahead of Oscar Piastri‘s and Lando Norris‘s McLaren, he delivered a performance that scares his opponents ahead of Sunday’s race. The 44-lap race on the longest circuit in the world championship will decide the winner.

In qualifying after the sprint race, it was McLaren that dominated the front row. Ferrari secured third with Leclerc, followed closely by the sprint race winner, Max Verstappen. Tomorrow’s race promises to be very exciting, with all the teams likely focusing more on strategy compared to this morning.

The young Mercedes driver was visibly disappointed: “I’m in lack of confidence, honestly, and I’m struggling to get the most out of the car during a tough moment. I need to find the light at the end of the tunnel. Lately, the car has become very unstable on entry, and with my driving style, that makes things really hard because I can never carry the speed I want. This also means I have to change my driving style, and that simply makes me slower. We’ll make some changes to the car and obviously see how the conditions are. If it rains, there will definitely be more chances to have a good race.”
