Hillclimb racing appointments August 30-31

This weekend features two major Hillclimb racing appointments. One of them is the 31st GHD “I Feel Slovenia” Ilirska Bistrica — a prestigious event that also counts towards the European Hill Climb Championship, the FIA Historic Hill Climb Championship, and the national championships of Slovenia, Austria, and Croatia. The race takes place on a 5.1 km course with an elevation gain of 165 meters. The current record is held by Italian driver Simone Faggioli, who clocked a 2:04.011. Faggioli is also the recent winner of the 2025 edition of the legendary Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in the U.S.

Today, the two practice runs will take place starting at 9:00 AM, while tomorrow will feature the two official race runs, also beginning at 9:00 AM. Due to the high number of participants, the event will likely continue into the afternoon. You can follow live timing for both days at this link: https://chronomoto.hu/fiahillclimb. Below is also a livestream from the Hillclimb Monsters channel covering the official practice sessions

Hillclimb racing Bergrennen Oberhallgau

The other major event this weekend takes place in Switzerland, featuring both the Swiss and German Hill Climb Championships, though it always attracts a strong international presence. The 3 km course has a 157 m elevation gain and winds through vineyards, featuring the iconic Tarzan Curve. Current record: 1:07.56 with a 160 km/h average.
