You don’t often see these gems for sale, especially when we’re talking about GT3 legends that left their mark on motorsport history. This is the final version with a naturally aspirated V8, and in terms of sound, it rivals fighter jets. Powered by the P65B44 engine with around 500 hp, it’s an evolution of the S65B40 found in the road-going BMW M3 E9x.

BMW produced around 46 units of the Z4 GT3 between 2010 and 2015. It’s a race car built to FIA GT3 regulations, developed exclusively for private teams to compete in international GT championships.

Let’s get back to the Bmw Z4 GT3. Yes, the very last BMW Z4 GT3 ever built is currently up for sale. It’s chassis #1059, the final example produced by BMW Motorsport in 2015. This car has a documented racing history in British championships before being preserved in a private collection in Switzerland, where it’s been kept in excellent condition.

Here’s a video to refresh your memory and show this beast in action. And of course—turn up your speakers, or even better, your headphones.

Bmw Z4 GT3 body

The sheet steel body was manufactured at the BMW plant in Regensburg on the same assembly line as the body of the road-going version of the BMW Z4 and then modified by hand. A safety cell made of high-strength precision steel tubing was welded into it. The front and rear aprons, hood, roof, fenders, rear wing, and other components are made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic . With this lightweight construction, the BMW Z4 GT3 weighs approximately 1190 kilograms. The complete construction of a BMW Z4 GT3 requires approximately 700 man-hours.

Motor

The racing engine has code P65 and is essentially based on the S65 . Until July 2010, a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine was used. This engine originated from the BMW M3 (E90/E92/E93) and was also used in a similar version in the BMW M3 GT . In the BMW Z4 GT3, the engine produced approximately 353 kW (480 hp) at 8300 rpm and could deliver a maximum torque of 460 Nm at 5500 rpm. The maximum engine speed was 8500 rpm.
