WRC Chile: Teams and drivers
Running from the Pacific coastal city, crews will face some of the most demanding gravel roads on the calendar – fast, flowing stages through dense forest plantations where visibility is often limited and precision is paramount. The smooth but technical stages have drawn comparisons to Rally Finland for their natural rhythm and commitment required.
Championship leader Elfyn Evans heads Toyota GAZOO Racing‘s five-car GR Yaris Rally1 entry, joined by Kalle Rovanperä – winner of the 2024 edition and looking to add to his impressive tally. Also confirmed are Sébastien Ogier, Takamoto Katsuta and Sami Pajari.

Hyundai Motorsport fields its regular trio of Ott Tänak, Thierry Neuville and Adrien Fourmaux in i20 N Rally1s. Tänak claimed victory on the rally’s previous WRC appearances in 2019 and 2023, both times driving for different manufacturers.
M-Sport Ford brings three Puma Rally1s to South America, with regular drivers Grégoire Munster and Josh McErlean joined by the addition of local hero Alberto Heller. The 31-year-old Chilean, co-driven by Argentina’s Luis Allende, returns to Rally1 machinery after his memorable 2023 debut on home soil, where he ran as high as eighth overall before suffering suspension damage on the penultimate day. America’s most successful WRC competitor.

The 19-strong WRC2 field features championship regulars including Oliver Solberg, Yohan Rossel, Gus Greensmith and Kajetan Kajetanowicz battling for crucial points, while several promising local entries will also be hoping to make their mark on the international stage.
