Frauscher x Porsche: new boat with Macan engine
After the open version, the Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom has arrived. An elegant runabout with a closed bow and cabin, developed through a collaboration between Porsche and Austrian shipyard Frauscher. The boat features the electric powertrain from the Porsche Macan Turbo, bringing automotive technology into the nautical world. It’s an ambitious and stylistically refined project, but one that may spark debate among brand purists, who were already unconvinced by the Macan EV’s road performance
Elegance and style, with 25 individually numbered units.
Porsche’s commitment to sustainable mobility now extends beyond cars, reaching the waters through its collaboration with the esteemed Austrian boatbuilder Frauscher. Together, they’ve developed a fully electric boat that delivers Porsche’s trademark performance in a new element. Much like the brand’s iconic two-door sports cars, the new boat is available in two configurations: a classic closed-bow runabout with a cabin below deck, or the open “Air” version with a central helm and spacious seating area at the bow. Following the success of the open eFantom—which won Best Electric Boat at the Best of Boats Award in November 2024—the closed version, the Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom, now debuts as a limited First Edition, with only 25 units available.

400 Kw from the Macan Turbo engine
It measures 8.67 meters in length and 2.49 meters in width, and they impress with their remarkable acceleration, sporty torque delivery, high performance, timeless design, and luxurious equipment. These are all qualities also associated with the Porsche Macan, which claims to be the sportiest model in its segment and served as the inspiration behind the eFantom. For the transfer of technology from road to water, Porsche uses the most powerful version of its fully electric SUV—the rear-axle motor from the Macan Turbo.
