GT World Challenge: Rain Chaos at Road America

Major Crash Shakes GT World Challenge America at Road America

Chaos unfolded at Road America due to challenging track conditions that led to a significant accident in GT World Challenge. Scott Dollahite lost control after hitting a wet curb, crashing his Mustang which was leading the Am class. Shortly after, Todd Coleman tried to avoid the wreck but ended up hitting the wall in his Archangel McLaren.

Fortunately, both drivers have been confirmed safe and unharmed following the incident

Race Results

The opening race of the weekend at Road America delivered a healthy dose of drama as weather shaped the outcome in unpredictable ways. What began as a high-paced showdown quickly turned into a test of patience as two full course yellows and ultimately severe weather brought the contest to a premature close. After initially braving the elements at the legendary National Park of Speed, thunder and lightning forced officials to end the race under red flag conditions.

Regulator Racing took the overall and Pro-Am class honors, with Random Vandals Racing making excellent use of the limited green flag running to vault themselves into first in the Pro category.
