GT World Challenge Nurburgring, Bmw on Pole!
The day at the Nürburgring has started off in lively fashion, with all 61 drivers facing rather tricky track conditions this morning. Overnight humidity settled on the Eifel circuit, which was then covered by a fairly thick fog.
In the Pre-Qualifying session, it was the No. 50 AF Corse Ferrari 296 driven by Antonio Fuoco that topped the charts, being the only car to dip below the 1:55 mark. However, things shifted in the actual Qualifying session. In the final Q3 shootout, it was the No. 32 BMW Team WRT, driven by Van Der Linde, Weerts, and De Wilde, that claimed pole with a time of 1:54.426. It was a fiercely competitive session, with the top 20 crews separated by just six tenths. Second place went to the other BMW M4 GT3 of Augusto Farfus, Jesse Krohn, and Italian driver Raffaele Marciello, followed by another AF Corse Ferrari, piloted by Pierguidi, Rovera, and Abril.

GT World Challenge Silver and Bronze results
In the Gold Cup, the No. 58 McLaren 720S GT3 Evo from Team Garage 59 leads the way, securing an impressive 4th place overall. The strong performance came from the trio of Smalley, Prette, and Macdonald. In second, about three tenths behind, is the #777 BMW M4 GT3 driven by Klingmann, Tuck, and Zubair. Rounding out the Gold Cup podium is the other McLaren 720S, the #5 entry shared by Allen, Ali, and Porter.

Garage 59 also takes the top spot in the Silver Cup with the #188 McLaren driven by Baldwin, Oliveira, and Fleming. They were followed just 110 thousandths behind by the Mercedes-AMG GT3 of Cabirou, Gazeau, and Panis. Wrapping up the list of pole positions is the Bronze Cup, where Kessel Racing claimed the top spot with the stunning #74 Ferrari 296 GT3 driven by Laursen, Marschall, and Blattner.

In the early stages of qualifying, there was also a contact between Gounon and Weerts, which brought out a yellow flag on track.
